About Mike
Mike Jenkins is an audio engineer, guitarist, and music educator born and raised in Reno, Nevada.
Mike’s audio engineering career has covered a wide variety of genres and styles, including rock, country, jazz, classical, hip hop, pop, R&B, metal, and bluegrass. Some of his clients include Mike Love and The Beach Boys Band, Whitesnake, Doug Clifford (of CCR fame), and Chance McKinney, as well as dozens of national and regional artists in and around Northern Nevada and California. In addition to music production and audio engineering, Mike is also an experienced audio editor and sound designer.
As a music educator, Mike has taught private music lessons, including guitar lessons, bass lessons, songwriting lessons, and music theory tutoring, since 2010. As a public school teacher, he's taught orchestra, music industry, guitar ensemble, music production, music theory, choir, and keyboard skills in both middle and high schools. Mike specializes in making individualized approaches to music that combines students' interests with traditional musicianship. In addition to guitar lessons, Mike also offers college and music school prep tutoring, music production tutoring, bass guitar, and beginning keyboard lessons.

Mike's undergraduate degree involved extensive training in music theory and analysis, orchestration, and composition. Mike has been applying this training to offering music production, arranging, and songwriting services to help other musicians bring their creative ideas to their fullest potential.

More personally, Mike enjoys camping and hiking with his wife and their four dogs.
